Abstract: There is a need for a comprehensive, standardized, and engaging curriculum for new and seasoned clinical counselor supervisors. This presentation will focus on evaluation and feedback in supervision and offer best practices toward improving capacity of clinical supervisors in providing corrective feedback to counselors-in-training. Models of supervision are described and integrated in a model with interaction characteristics and strategies that supervisors can use when providing feedback. This presentation is designed to: (1) increase clinical supervision skills and knowledge among counselor supervisors; (2) increase learning, skills acquisition, and adoption of new knowledge regarding clinical supervision using visual and auditory methods and; (3) improve the delivery of clinical supervision directly impacting the services provided to clients.
